AI Assisted Note-Taking at Springbank Surgery
We use a secure digital assistant called Heidi to help reduce typing during appointments so your clinician can focus more on you.
What does Heidi do?
Is my conversation recorded?
Heidi temporarily processes speech to create draft notes. It does not create permanent audio recordings of your appointment.
Where is my data stored?
For UK patients, Heidi operates within UK-hosted infrastructure and complies with UK data protection law. Your permanent medical record is stored securely within SystmOne as it has been for many years.
Can I opt out?
Yes. You can decline at any time without affecting your care.
Is it safe?
Heidi is a registered Class I medical device (digital dictation), assessed under NHS clinical safety standards and used under local governance procedures.
Any issues or near misses are reviewed through our Significant Event Analysis process.
