Routine Appointment
To book a routine appointment, you can:
- Visit the surgery: Come and talk to a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8 am until 6pm
- Call us: 01423 330030. We're open Monday to Friday from 8 am until 6pm.
- Use our online e-consultation service: Click the link at the bottom of this page. Available at all times with a response provided within 1 working day.
- Use your NHS account: Book a screening test or vaccination through the NHS website or NHS app.
We might offer you an appointment:
- By phone
- Face-to-face at the surgery
- On a video call
- By text or email
Appointments by phone, video call, text, or email can be more flexible and can often get you help sooner.
Urgent Appointments
Please note should you have a medical emergency, you should dial 999. Medical emergencies include chest pain, suspected heart attacj, head injury, severe loss of blood, severe breathing difficulties, loss of consciousness, deep wounds, suspected broken bones and suspected heart attacks.
For less critical but still urgent issues, we have a doctor on duty to handle urgent problems the same day. This service is available:
- Monday to Friday, in the morning and afternoon
- Call us: 01423 330030 from 8 am.
If You Need Help with Your Appointment
Please tell us if:
- You want to see a specific doctor, nurse, or other health professional.
- You prefer to talk by phone, face-to-face, video call, text, or email.
- You need an interpreter.
- You have other access or communication needs.
- You have a requirement for any other reasonable adjustment that we can help with.
Cancelling or Changing an Appointment
If you can’t attend an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer it to someone else. To cancel, you can:
- Use your NHS account on the NHS website or NHS app.
- Use the GP online system via the link at the top of this page.
- Call us on 01423 330030, Monday to Friday from 8 am.
- Visit the surgery: Come and talk to a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8 am.
- Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
If You Need Help When We Are Closed
- Use NHS 111 online or call 111 for urgent medical help.
- NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over.
- Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
- Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is very ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Home Visits
If you can’t leave your house and need an appointment, we will visit you at home.
- We will call you first to understand what you need.
- Please call the practice early in the day to request a visit.
Home visits are only for those who are housebound or too ill to visit the practice.
- Your GP will decide if a home visit is needed based on your medical condition.
Community nurses and health visitors:
- A community nurse can visit you if referred by your GP.
- A health visitor will visit if you have recently had a baby or if you are new to the GP and have a child under five.
E-Consult
eConsult is a way to contact the practice online, for free, anywhere and anytime you have access to the internet, quickly and safely. eConsult is easy to use and will give the doctors all the information they need to triage and make sure you gets the care you need.
